A snowstorm is scheduled to hit Greater Fall River Tuesday leading to cancellations and closings in the region

PARKING BANS

FALL RIVER: Beginning Monday, March 12, 2018 at 3 pm until further notice.

SOMERSET: Goes into effect March 12, at 7 p.m. The ban will remain in effect until Wednesday, March 14, at 7 a.m.

TIVERTON: Parking Ban in effect starting Monday at 9 p.m.

SCHOOL CLOSINGS

Bristol Community College: All locations, are closed Tuesday, March 13.

Diman Regional Vocational Technical School closed Tuesday.

Fall River Public Schools: All schools closed Tuesday.

TRASH PICKUP

Fall River: Trash collection has been delayed for Tuesday.

Tiverton: Trash and recycling collection is cancelled for Tuesay. Pickup will resume on Wednesday; all collection days will be pushed back one day (Tuesday trash will be picked up Wednesday, etc.)

Somerset: There will be no trash pickup Tuesday; all collection days will be pushed back one day.

SHELTERS

Kuss Middle School will open after 7 p.m. Monday. Bring supplies, medication, ID, cellphones.

MUNICIPAL MEETINGS

Fall River City Council meeting for Tuesday has been postponed to Thursday.
