Singer Aditya Narayan was arrested for rash driving by Versova Police on Monday after his vehicle hit an autorickshaw in Mumbai.

The driver of the rickshaw and a passenger were both injured.

A case was registered against Aditya Narayan under sections 338 and 279 of the Indian Penal Code.

Aditya is the son of the renowned singer Udit Narayan.

Last year, he was in the news for arguing with airline staff at Raipur airport, after he was stopped for carrying excess luggage.

"Teri chaddi na utari maine, toh mera naam Aditya Narayan nahin hai," he was heard shouting. A video of the incident went viral.

Aditya's popular songs include Tattad Tattad and Ishqyaun Dhishqyaun. He has also tried his luck as an actor, and made his Bollywood debut in the 2010 film Shaapit.
