Showers likely from March 14 due to western distubance

With the days getting warmer as the mercury is on the rise, the State is likely to experience rain for three days from March 14. 

Weathermen said that the wet spell would be triggered by a fresh western disturbance which is now approaching the State.

If things happen as forecast by the Met officials the mercury might dip a bit over the three days.The climate remaining dry over the past few days, things are now getting warmer with every passing day.

However, after the dusk settles the climate turns soothing, say the denizens of Dehradun.  The maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 30.2 degree Celsius, four notches above the normal, and 12.6 degree Celsius, one notch above the normal, respectively in the city on Sunday.  .

While the highest maximum temperature  of the state 32.1°C was recorded at Jaspur in Udham Singh Nagar district the lowest minimum temperature 3.3°C  was recorded at Matela, Almora. On Sunday

Uttarakhand Meteorological centre director Bikram Singh said that following western disturbances, light to moderate rainfall is likely to occur at isolated places while it might snow  at places with height 3500 metres and above on March 15.

The weather forecast for Dehradun on Monday is mainly clear sky. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 31 degree Celsius and 13 degree Celsius respectively in Dehradun on Monday.

As per the weather report sent by the Met department, in Pantnagar, the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 30.7 degree Celsius, three notches above the normal, and 9.1 degree Celsius, one notch above the normal respectively.

In Mukteshwar, the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 21.9 degree Celsius, five notches above the normal, and 7.3 degree Celsius, three notches above the normal. In Tehri, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded were 21.2 degree Celsius and 9.2 degree Celsius respectively.

The weather forecast for Uttarakhand on Monday is mainly clear to partly cloudy sky and dry weather across the State.
