Police officers' conf in city from Mar 13

The 60th Senior Police Officers' Conference of the State would be held at the Police Bhawan in Bhubaneswar from March 13 to 15.

The Superintendents of Police of all districts, DCPs, Commandants of all armed police battalions, IGPs, DIGPs, under-training IPS officers, senior officers of various police establishments as well as the Home Guards, Fire Services and Civil Defence Organisation, State Vigilance, Odisha State Police Housing and Welfare Corporation, Prison Organisation and OHRC would participate in the conference.

While conference would  be inaugurated by DGP Dr RP Sharmaat 10 am on March 13, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik would grace the valedictory session on March 15, said an official release.

Chief Secretary, Development Commissioner, ACS Home Department and Finance Department Principal Secretary would also interact with the participants.

During the conference, there would be deliberations on law and order, crime scenario of the State, Left Wing Extremism, capacity building of police stations, people-friendly policing, ethical behaviour in policing, crime control measures, critical incident management, effective use of social media and resource management in Special Armed Police. Issues relating to the State Vigilance, Home Guards and Fire Services, Prisons Organisation and Odisha Police Housing & Welfare Corporation would also be discussed.
