Bride-to-be and entire bridal party die weeks before the wedding

A bride-to-be and her bridal party have died weeks before the wedding, after their private jet crashed into a mountainside and burst into flames.

Mina Basaran, a wealthy socialite who's the daughter of Turkish tycoon Huseyin Basaran, was returning from her glamorous bachelorette party when the tragedy occurred, news.com.au reports.

She was set to marry the love of her life, businessman Murat Gezer on April 14.

Mina, seven of her friends and three crew members were aboard her father's jet, travelling from Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates to Istanbul, Turkey, when it crashed into Iran's Zagros Mountains.

Just a day before the crash on Sunday, Mina posted a smiling picture of her and seven friends at a Dubai resort, nine.com.au writes, but it seems her Instagram account has since been deleted.

According to news.com.au, the 28-year-old’s father is a former deputy chairperson of Turkish football club Trabzonspor and owns multiple luxury apartments in Istanbul, called Mina Towers, named after his daughter.

"The wreck of the jet and the bodies are found," the head of the Turkish Red Crescent humanitarian organisation, Kerem Kinik, tweeted late last night (South African time). "They will be carried down from the mountain when the sun comes up. My condolences to those who lost their loved ones."
