Andhra Govt to slash down charges in land conversion

Ranked first in Ease of Doing Business, the Andhra Pradesh Government now took a decision to make it easier to establish a business as well as industry in the State.

On instructions of the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, the Department of Industries has taken a decision to slash down the charges of conversion of agricultural land to non agricultural purpose (NALA) to 3 per cent and 2 per cent of the market value of the land from 9 per cent and 5 per cent  in rural and urban areas respectively.

On Sunday, the Chief Minister directed the Industries Department to apply the new charges for the applications to establish industries through single desk portal.
