Fake forms circulated under government scheme

GURUGRAM: Police on Friday booked unknown persons for selling fake forms under ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ scheme, promising Rs 2 lakhs. Ministry of women and child development moved to Gurugram police on Thursday when they started receiving forms from residents of the city seeking Rs 2 lakh under the scheme. The deputy secretary of the ministry, Ashok Kumar Yadav sent a complaint to Gurugram police commissioner Sandeep Khirwar and asked for immediate action in the case.

Following the complaint, an FIR has been registered against unknown persons under Sections 420 (cheating) of the IPC at Shivaji Nagar police station. Police are investigating into the matter.
