Pharmacists threaten indefinite stir

Members of the Odisha Pharmacists’ Association have threatened to sit on an indefinite dharna in Bhubaneswar from March 28 if their five-point charter of demands is not fulfilled.

This was announced to mediapersons here on Saturday at a Press conference by president of Balangir District Pharmacists’ Association Radha Madhab Mishra.

The charter of demands includes regularisation of the jobs of contractual pharmacists who have completed six years of service, removal of anomalies noticed after the cadre restructuring of 24/8/2013 and fixation of grade pay as per RACP 2013, removal of anomalies in pay-scale and fixation of pay-scale as diploma scale, appointment of more pharmacists in the Niramaya programme and to regularise the jobs of pharmacists working under the MHU and the RBSK.
