Cong now pillion rider of regional parties in Jharkhand, Bihar: CM

| | DALTONGANJ | in Ranchi

The meeting of CM Raghubar Das with party workers of Garhwa, Latehar and Palamu districts in Betla on Saturday came as a shot in the arm of the workers, said political observers who described this divisional level show of the CM as a warm up to the coming couple of elections beginning with the civic polls which will be fought on party symbol and then the great show of democracy, the Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha.

Addressing the workers, Das came down heavily on the Congress in Jharkhand when he said that this national party has taken the crutches of JMM and is ready to accept the leadership of its chief.  He said in the same vein that the Congress is a pillion rider of the RJD whose mukhiya is in the jail on corruption charges. The Congress is grounded already, Das reiterated.

Chief whip of BJP and Chhatarpur MLA Radha Krishna Kishore said the CM’s attack on the Congress was well timed and what the CM said could cause heavy political discomfort to both the JMM and the Congress in Jharkhand.

The CM assured his party workers that he was always with them and they should not feel any hesitation in telling him their problems.

There was a hint of public protest on the issue of Mandal dam on the issue of displacement but with flawless security there was not even a whimper of noise or protest anywhere.

The CM reminded cadres there that the Mandal dam has been languishing over the last 28 years but with the BJP in the Centre and Narender Modi as PM the fate of the dam is all set to look up as it involves two states, Jharkhand and Bihar and its huge water resources will be put to use for hydel electricity and drinking water for both men and wild life.

A tourist circuit on the pattern of Buddhist circuit will be set up between Betla and Netarhat which will boost tourism in this region.

Sources said Das held a parley with senior cadres of the three districts till late in the afternoon in Betla today wherein strategies to bag as many seats as possible were chalked out for the coming civic polls.

The CM also inaugurated ITI College and Hostel building built by the Labour and Employment department at Akhra in Barwadih area of Latehar on the occasion. He also inspected the training centre and paid homage to King Medini Rai by unveling his statue at Barwadih.

Top BJP functionaries, including state BJP chief Laxman Gilua, Minister Ramchandra Chandravanshi , R K Kishore, V D Ram and Sunil Singh, MPs of Palamu and Chatra respectively, Garhwa MLA Satyendrea Tiwari and others were present on the occasion.
