OnePlus has announced the Android 8.1 Oreo support via the OxygenOS Open Beta 6 for OnePlus 5 users with additional new features and bug fixes.

Among the features include a new auto pick-up gesture which lets you answer the call by just raising the phone, instead of interacting with the phone to take the call.

New optimisations have been added in the gaming mode as well for immersive gaming. These optimisations also include power saving features and pausing adaptive brightness while gaming.

In terms of system updates, you get the general bug fixes and improvements, more clock styles for ambient display and updated Android security patch to February 2018.

OnePlus Switch has also got support for migrating application data which further eases switching between devices.

Do note that since these are beta builds, you may face some issues with stability. In case you are facing major bugs, you can give the feedback on the OnePlus feedback forums.

You will receive the update over the air only if you have already flashed another OxygenOS beta build.
