indexThe impact has been felt so much that some even consider that tourism is all about leisure and frolicking. Travelling distant from home to explore the tourist sites and staying idle, not working is considered as the only way in terms of tourism. In Ghana, tourism is even limited in terms of types or forms. What else can be done?

What different options we have and why Ghana as a country not exploring them when others are. Jumia Travel takes a closer look at different forms of tourism that we can explore in Ghana and Africa.

Religious Tourism

One of the most ancient forms of tourism is religious tourism. Even though we frequently don’t like to consider religion as a business, religious tourism is crucial in today’s context since it comes along with numerous benefits. More or less all forms of religions are inquired with religious tourism and several tourists traverse to different countries to see how that specific country practices an exact religion.

The disparities may be negligible but the philosophy and general framework remains the same. If you are still speculating what this is all about, consider many of those Muslim pilgrims who travel to Mecca for Hajj every year. On the other hand, what about those Christians who visit the Vatican. Also, there are few who visit Jerusalem to experience those many festivals mentioned in the bible. Also, religious tourism is called faith-based tourism and attracts many other economic benefits along with it.

At present, Israel has turned out to be an extremely popular tourist destination since many Christians are returning to their ‘’promised land’’. If you get tired anyhow of the popular tourist sites, try touring the world for religious reasons.
