Kenneth and Marilyn Streeper had some very nice equipment on their farm retirement auction yesterday (March 9, 2018) in Anamosa, IA, sale by our friends at Sullivan Auctioneers (http://www.sullivanauctioneers.com). Particularly nice were their John Deere 4455 and 4440 tractors as well as their John Deere 336 baler.
Their 4455 was a 1992 model, MFWD, with 5,890 hours. Here's a picture of it:
It sold for $62,500. That is the 3rd highest auction sale price on a John Deere 4455 since December 2015. Here's look at the 10 highest prices since that time.

The Streeper's 1978 John Deere 4440, Quad Range, with 6,958 hours sold for $32,000. Here's a picture of it:
Here's a look at the last (10) John Deere 4440 Tractors I've seen sold for $30K or more at auction.

The Streeper's John Deere 336 baler was the hottest item on the sale. It sold for $6,100, making it the 2nd highest auction sale price ever on a 336 baler. This is consistent with trend I've been seeing for long while now though, very high buyer demand for nicest condition smaller, older used farm equipment items...like this 336, pictured below:
