Woman found dead in Diggers Rest home

A woman has been found dead in a home north-west of Melbourne on Friday night.

Homicide squad detectives are investigating the death of the 29-year-old woman after emergency services were called to the Fairfield Crescent, Diggers Rest house late Friday night. The body was found by emergency services at 11pm.

A 28-year-old man who is known to the deceased woman was arrested in Sunbury just before 1am on Saturday morning, about 10km from the address.

He is helping police with their investigation. Police are yet to establish the exact circumstances around the incident.
