Cape Town – There’s lots to see at South African cinemas this weekend.

Matt Damon and Kristen Wiig shrink themselves to escape their lives in an Alexander Payne comedy drama.

Comedian Kagiso Lediga’s directorial debut finally makes it to local cinemas, Armie Hammer and Geoffrey Rush star in an artsy film, Bruce Willis is out for revenge in another remake and real life heroes star in Clint Eastwood’s new film.

Our rating: 3/5

Short review: Downsizing is different, quirky and even a little bit funny. It’s a tiny film with a lot of heart and totally worth the watch.

Movie: Death Wish

Our rating: 2/5

Short review: Death Wish is a competent enough revenge flick but, at this time, it's hard to imagine a film less wanted.

Movie: The 15:17 to Paris

Our rating: 2/5

Short review: The heroes of the train attack deserve all the praise. But zoom out a little and it's hard not to see Clint Eastwood's America-centric focus in The 15:17 to Paris as self-serving.
