In the United States, a gunman has taken three people hostage at veterans home in California. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said on Twitter that it was responding to an active shooter and hostage situation at veterans home at Yountville.

The suspect is believed to be a 36-year-old man, who was a privately-run program for military veterans with emotional trauma, Xinhua reported. The sheriff's office said that multiple shots had been fired at officers, but there were no reports of any casualties.
