Bangladesh were set a target of 215 runs and it did not look an easy one. But Musfiqur Rahim had other ideas. The former Bangladesh captain played a sensation knock, hitting 72 runs off 35 balls and remained unbeaten till the end to help Bangladesh chase down a record total. The openers Tamim Iqbal and Liton Das set up the chase as they took the score to 74 in 34 ball before the latter was dismissed for 47. Bangladesh kept going. They lost two more wickets but kept the scoring rate above the required rate and somehow managed to win the game by 5 wickets. Sri Lanka were 98/1 after first 10 overs and took 116 in the next 10. Kusal Mendis and Kusal Perera scored fifties as Sri Lanka ended with 214 for 6. No Bangladesh bowler had an economy rate of less than 7.5.

They have made this series interesting and also this was a great game. Chase! Mushfiqur was limping but he ignored everything for the win. Magnificent!
Credit to Bangladesh for taking on this chase! Brilliant innings from the Mushfiqur Rahim who never gave up and took his team to a brilliant win! At the halfway stage in this series, each team has a win and a loss. India lost to Sri Lanka, Bangladesh lost to India, Sri Lanka lost to Bangladesh.
BANGLADESH WIN BY 5 WICKETS AND THE HERO IS MUSHFIQUR RAHIM! He is unbeaten on 72 and is limping but there is that roar after the vitory! What a win! Bangladesh are over the moon and what a time to get it. They are alive in this series. Musfiqur Rahim with same snake dance celebrations in the end!
Mushfiqur Rahim will be on strike for the final over. Thisara Perera, the T20 speciallist, will bowl that over for Sri Lanka. Bangladesh need 9 off the final over!
Whao! Mushfiqur Rahim has lauched one into the orbit! A low full-toss from Nuwan Pradeep which has been send over square-leg for a huge six! The equation has changed to 10 needed off 7 balls
Sabbir Rahman was on strike and pushed on to mid-off! He was on the backfoota and late to take off for the single. A direct hit from Perera from mid-off has caught him short! Bangladesh five down with 18 still needed
Final two overs coming up in Colombo. Bangladesh need 19 runs off 12 balls. Pradeep to begin the penultimate over. Mushfiqur Rahim will be key and he is on strike. Sabbir Rahman is the other batsman
WICKET! Mahmudullah tries to go big but holes out in the deep! Bad time to fall but Chameera gets his first wicket. Good catch in the deep from Jeevan Mendis. Sabbir Rahman the new man in!
Mushfiqur Rahim gets to a 24-ball half-century and this innings has kept Bangladesh in the game. He still has a big job left. Can Bangladesh chase down 214?
13 runs from the 17th over. Mushfiqur Rahim with a six in the over. Bangladesh reach 188 for the loss of three wickets after 17 overs. They need 27 off 18 balls. Mushfiqur and Mahmudullah at the crease
What an over for Bangladesh! The final was smacked for six from Mahmudullah and it was over waist so it is called a no-ball. The free-hit goes for four! Bangladesh need 40 runs from 24 balls with seven wickets in hand!
Nuwan Pradeep returns to break the stand! A short delivery which cramped Soumya Sarkar for room and he ends up skying it there only. Pradeep completes an easy catch. Bangladesh 151/3
Stunning batting from Mushfiqur Rahim and Soumya Sarkar. They are taking the risk and being rewarded for that. Big sixes and there is always those singles coming. They are just matching the required run-rate but more importantly have wickets in hand
Mushfiqur Rahim and Soumya Sarkar have not let the scoring rate drop! Bangladesh still going strong at 127 for 2 after 12 overs. They need 88 more runs from 48 balls. Big task but they have wickets in hand
Bangladesh have done well to reach 103 for the loss of two wickets after 10 overs. Sri Lanka were 99 for 1 at the same stage. Bangladesh need 102 more runs from the remaining 10 overs. Mushfiqur and Soumya the two batsmen at the crease
GONE! Against the run of play, Perera has Tamim caught and bowled! A slower delivery from Perera but Tamim is too early in his shot. He tried flicking it but it takes the leading edge and an easy return catch to Perera.
Sri Lanka were 73 for 1 after 7 overs but Bangladesh are 84 for 1. Thisara Perera is into the attack for Sri Lanka against the two Bangladesh batsmen who are left-handers
Bangladesh could not have asked for a better start. Though the wicket of Liton Das would hurt them, they will take the 74 for 1 score after the end of the powerplay. Tamim Iqbal still out there with Soumya Sarkar
Liton Das is hit plumb in front of the stumps and the umpire raises his finger to give him out. Bangladesh lose their first wicket after a great start. Das tries a cross-batted sweep but misses it compeltely
16 runs off the fifth over. Liton Das is on 36* off 16 balls. Tamim is on 26* off 14 balls. Bangladesh are 65 for no loss after 5 overs. Can they utilise the final over of powerplay?
A six to finish the 4th over! Das comes down the pitch and sends it straight back for a six! Bangladesh are scoring more than 12 runs per over. Bangladesh are 49 for no loss now.
Not a bad start at all from Bangladesh! Tamim and Das have come out with intent and taken on the Sri Lanka bowlers. Bangladesh are 33 for no loss after 3 overs. How long can they carry on with the positive intent?
Bangladesh openers Tamim Iqbal and Litton Das are out in the middle to chase 215-run target. Dushmanta Chameera will open the bowling for Sri Lanka. Can Bangladesh make this interesting?
A dot ball in the end but Sri Lanka end with 214 for 6 and they will be very happy with this total. Jeevan missed the final delivery completely. Not the best bowling effort from Bangladesh but some stunning batting from Sri Lanka. The openers were on the charge from the beginning and Kusal Perera continued it. Two quick wickets in the middle did not make a difference as Tharanga made a 15-ball 32
Mustafizur gets his second wicket of the over. A short ball from him and Perera looked to pull it. A fine catch at deep square-leg to end his innings. But the next ball is a no-ball from Mushtafizur! Free-hit. Jeevan Mendis on strike who has launched it for a massive six!
A cheeky shot over short fine-leg from Upul Tharanga and that is 200 up for Sri Lanka. But two balls later, Kusal Perera is caught behind. Skied one in the air and Mushfiqur takes an easy catch!
Six to start the penultimate over! Kusal Perera with a brilliant shot. Power in that shot that has sailed over midwicket. Next is a dot ball but the third ball is hammered through covers for four!
Final four overs coming up in Colombo. Sri Lanka are 157 for the loss of four wickets. Rubel Hussain will bowl. Kusal Perera, who has completed his fifty, is still there on the crease. Upul Tharanga is the other batsman
Wow! Mahmudullah has taken two wickets in four balls. Shanaka hits one straight to Sabbir at deep-midwicket. A replay of Mendis wicket but Bangladesh are happy. After 14 overs, Sri Lanka are 143 for 3
What a bowling change! Captain Mahmudullah brings himself own and after being hit for a six first ball, he gets the wicket of Kusal Mendis. Tries to go big again but it is straight to mid-wicket. 2 down now
Sri Lanka are 111 for 1 after 11 overs and looking good for a huge total. Kusal Mendis brings up his half-century off just 26 balls. Sri Lanka would like him to continue till the end and lead them towards a big total
SIX to bring up the team hundred from Kusal Prera. What a brilliant innings for Sri Lanka. Bangladesh bowlers are finding it difficult to stop the run-flow. The spinners are being punished as well
Sri Lanka have been brilliant in this game so far. They have utilised powerply nicely and attacked the Bangladesh bowlers from the start. After seven overs, Sri Lanka are 73 for one
GONE! Mustafizur Rahman breaks the opening stand with a very good delivery! Off his third delivery, Mustafizur cleans up Gunathilaka with a knuckle ball. That was too slow after pitching. Sri Lanka lose first wicket
Taskin Ahmed tries too much and gets punished! Two sixes, a wide and 5 wides. A 22-run over which has help Sri Lanka surge to 52 for no loss after 4 overs. Bangladesh captain Mahmudullah not happy at all
A heated exchange between Rubel Hussain and Kusal Prera. The Sri Lanka openers have got under Bangladesh's skin after their brisk start. This turning out to be a great match. Sri Lanka are 30 for 0 after 3 overs
Sri Lanka openers have come out all guns blazing! Gunathilaka and Kusal going after everything. Some quick boudaries and now Sri Lanka are 24 for no loss after two overs. Brillianst start
Bangladesh players are out in the middle for the game. Sri Lanka openers are making their way out as well. Danushka Gunathilaka and Kusal Mendis will look to give them a good start. Let's hope there is no more rain tonight!
