Collector Pravin Kumar has said it is the responsibility parents to raise their children with love and care.
Participating as a chief guest at a family reunion and camp closing ceremony held at the Government Children Home for Boys here on Saturday, the Collector said children of various States in the country were running away from their homes due to different reasons.
He commended NGOs and other stakeholders, who counselled them on social and family values, and provided them basic amenities.
Divisional Railway Manager Mukul Saran Mathur said the railways had formed a Railway Rescue Teams to identify runaway children, who were travelling in trains, and it was functioning round-the-clock.
A child helpline was opened at the railway station and temporary accommodation was made available to keep such children.
