: Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police P Malakondaiah today laid the foundation and performed bhumi puja for a model police station to come up at Kykaluru in Krishna district. Speaking on the occasion, he said the model police station would come up with sophisticated infrastructure facilities at a cost of Rs 1.40 crore. He said around 30 model police stations would be constructed throughout the state, the first of which was started in Guntur. Malakondaiah said right now four model police stations had been completed and some were under construction. The ones at Kykaluru and Avanigadaa would be completed this year, he added. Model police stations will have innovative and modern building design and would integrate technology with human efficiency.
