Anbumani urges Tamil MPs, MLAs to resign

Coimbatore: Parliament members from Tamil Nadu should resign if the BJP government fails to set up the Cauvery management board, Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) leader and Dharmapuri MP Anbumani Ramadoss said here on Saturday.

Addressing reporters at the Coimbatore airport, Anbumani said he is ready to quit the MP post for the cause. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi refused to meet political leaders from Tamil Nadu who wanted to discuss Cauvery management board formation. It was a shame for our leaders. Tamil MPs and MLAs in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha should resign to put political pressure on BJP,” he said. TNN
