Women’s Day observed across Brahmapur

Various Gove-rnment and private organisations observed the Inte-rnational Women’s Day at their respective venues on Thursday.

A programme held in the Punjab National Bank’s farmer training campus under leadership of bank’s FLC was attended by a large number of women. RBI, Bhubaneswar AGM and bank FLC Ramnath Panda graced as guests. PNB FTC Director  Chandan Kumar Mallick gave vote of thanks.

The Kalinga Vaysya Mahila Mahasangha held the day in the Kanaka Parmeswar Mandir premises at Khaspa Street. While Mahasangha president P Asha Rani presided over the meeting, state president E Purushottam Patro and secretary B Ramanarayan graced as guests.

Similarly, many women participated in the event organised by the Anmesha Kala Kendra.

The programme presided over by organisation president Sribachha Dalai was graced by Additional District Collector Bijay Kumar Dash. On the occasion, some women were felicitated for their performance in different sectors.

The JCI, Brahmapur Ladies organised the Women’s Day in the Kusuma Haranath Mandir premises under guidance of its president J Harapriya and secretary J Sukanya. Issues relating to women empowerment and rights were discussed.

These apart, Women’s Day was also observed at the Akhila Biswa Gayatree Parivar, District Child Safety Unit, Tata Steel and Dalita Sahayak Pratisthan.
