A total of 255 officer cadets passed out from the Officers Training Academy, Chennai on Saturday.

196 Gentleman Cadets, 37 Lady Cadets were commissioned as Officers of the Indian Army.

Five Officer Cadets from Bhutan, Nine from Afghanistan and eight from Tajikistan were also commissioned into their respective Armies.

Lt.Gen Dewan Rabindranath Soni reviewed the parade commanded by Academy Under officer Vivek Suraj.

Two lady cadets from Haryana won top honours including winning the sword of honour from Lt.Gen. Dewan.

These lady officers beat more than 200 Gentlemen cadets to bag top honours.

This is the third time that history is repeated in 55 years of the OTA by lady cadets.
