Activists and members of the CPI(M) staged a demonstration condemning the demolition of Lenin’s statue in Tripura.

Two were arrested on Wednesday after a video footage showed men pulling down the Lenin statue with bulldozer.

Serena Williams has won her first match in her comeback at the BNP Paribas Open after a 14-month layoff for the birth of her first child.

The 23-time major winner defeated Zarina Diyas of Kazakhstan 7-5, 6-3 in the first round.
