Aishbagh police have booked a woman for threatening and demanding an extortion of Rs 10 lakh to vacate house of a retired irrigation engineer at Housing Board Colony; a case was registered on Wednesday.
The accused woman Narmadi Bai occupied victim MA Khan’s house illegally and whenever the victim would ask to vacate the house she would lodge fake complaints with Aishbagh police and recently she agreed to vacate the house in return of Rs 10 lakh.
Police said that the victim used to work with Irrigation department and after the division of Chhattisgarh he was transferred there. Later when the victim returned he found that the accused Narmadi Bai had broken the locks and occupied the house illegally he asked to vacate the house but accused refused to vacate and lodged fake complaints against the victim.
The police have registered case of extorting money and threatening against the accused. After the victim lodged complaint the accused went missing. Police have started search for the accused.
The FIR was registered after Khan’s wife Saira Bano lodged complaint with the Superintendent of Police and after investigation on the orders issued by the SP it was found that the accused had illegally occupied the house and shops and have collected rent for than a decade.
The accused had occupied the house after the victim had gone to Chhattisgarh.
