Market Now: Over 65 stocks hit fresh 52-week lows on NSE

NEW DELHI: Defying positive market sentiment, Allahabad Bank, BEML and United Bank of India joined the bandwagon of stocks that hit fresh 52-week lows on NSE during Friday's trade.
Over 65 stocks hit fresh 52-week lows on NSE which included Dalmia Bharat Sugar and Industries, Dhanlaxmi Bank, Gitanjali Gems, Jindal Photo, Moser-Baer (I), TV Vision and Uttam Value Steels also.
On the other hand, shares of Ashok Leyland, H.G. Infra Engineering, Sanofi India, Shah Alloys and Zenith Birla (India) hit fresh 52-week highs on NSE in Friday's trade.
Equity benchmarks were in the green, backed by gains in pharma, IT, FMCG and auto stocks. Participants turned to buying after worries over global trade war eased.
The NSE Nifty index was trading 45 points up at 10,287, while the BSE Sensex was up 138 points at 33,489 around 10:35 am (IST).
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty50 index, 37 were in the green, while 13 were in the red.
Aurobindo Pharma, Bharti Infratel, Hero MotoCorp, Tech Mahindra and Bajaj Finance were trading among the top gainers in the Nifty index, while Tata Steel, State Bank of India, NTPC, YES Bank and Axis Bank were trading among the top losers in the index.
