Helipad for CM’s chopper near PTR

Helipad for Chief Minister Raghubar Das’s chopper which is due to arrive on March 10 is coming up in Betla the nerve centre of tiger reserve Palamu. Das is to grace a divisional meet of BJP workers and leaders on this day in Betla.

Sources said the helipad is coming up on a vacant plot of land close to state tourism department’s tourists’ resort in Betla. BDO Barwadeeh Dinesh Kumar and others are supervising the helipad work in Betla.

Sources said as the landing and takeoff of chopper creates a huge storm of dust since the plot of land on which the helipad is being built has thin grasses which may prove a disturbance to wild life residing in the National Park Betla which is at a walking distance from the site.

Parshant Anand SP Latehar said “We are concerned with the security aspect of the CM.” M P Singh additional principal chief conservator of forest ( Addl PCCF) PTR when asked if the Latehar administration has intimated in writing about the arrival of CM on March 10 by helicopter in Betla to which Singh said, “As far as our information is that the vacant plot of land where this helipad is coming up is on a raiyyat’s land and the piece of land is not of PTR”.

Singh’s deputy director PTR A K Mishra corroborating the version of Addl PCCF said “This is not the first time that chopper is coming over to Betla’’. Sources said Betla will see a huge fleet of cars and other vehicles on this day.
