Agricultural crisis has taken a toll on Maharashtra's economy -- the state's economic survey shows that the rate of GDP growth has hit a three-year low of 7.3 percent with the farm sector witnessing a sharp contraction in FY18. It is against this backdrop that the state has allocated a significant chunk of its funds for agriculture in the budget for coming fiscal.
