Masoor, its dal slide on muted demand

Prices of masoor and its fell by upto Rs 200 per at the wholesale pulses today on subdued demand from retailers. However, other pulses moved in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels. Traders said easing demand from retailers against adequate stocks position, mainly weighed on masoor and its prices. In the national capital, masoor small and bold declined by Rs 150 each to Rs 3,350-3,500 and Rs 3,450-3,600 per respectively.

Its local and best quality lost Rs 200 each at Rs 3,500-3,900 and Rs 3,600-4,000 per quintal, respectively. Following are today's pulses' rates (in Rs per quintal): Urad Rs 3,800-5,100, Urad Chilka (local) Rs 4,700-4,800, Urad best Rs 4,800-5,300, Dhoya Rs 5,200-5,400, Moong Rs 4,600-5,300, Moong Chilka local Rs 5,400-5,600, Moong Dhoya local Rs 6,000-6,500 and best quality Rs 6,500-6,700. Masoor small Rs 3,350-3,500, bold Rs 3,450-3,600, Masoor local Rs 3,500-3,900, best quality Rs 3,600-4,000, local Rs 4,000-4,200, best Rs 4,100-4,400, Moth Rs 3,500-3,900, Arhar Rs 4,200 Arhar Dara Rs 6,100-8,000. Gram Rs 3,900-4,000, Gram (local) Rs 4,000-4,400, best quality Rs 4,400-4,500, Besan (35 kg), Shakti bhog Rs 2,000, Rajdhani Rs 2,000, Rajma Chitra Rs 6,000-8,000, Kabuli Gram small Rs 4,500-5,500, Dabra Rs 2,700-2,800, Imported Rs 4,700-5,100, Lobia Rs 3,400-3,600, Peas white Rs 2,825-2,850 and green Rs 2,925-3,025.
