On the occasion of International Woman’s Day, yesterday Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal announced that government will open a 100 bedded Mother and Child Care Hospital in Panipat, provide free sanitary napkins to adolescent girls and organize free medical camp once in a month in CHC or district hospital exclusively for senior citizen women. In addition, process to recruit 1000 woman constable in Haryana Police will be started soon.

Chief Minister was replying to the debate on the Governor’s Address on 4th day of ongoing Budget session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha at Chandigarh on Thursday.

Speaking about Haryana government's efforts for improvement in sex ratio under Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao programme, the CM said that under this programme, government with cooperation from all have saved the life of atleast 30,000 girls in Haryana. He urged for people's support and cooperation in future also to eradicate female foetecide.
