To mark the commencement of the 2018 Winter Paralympic games in PyeongChang, South Korea, Google has doodled a rather dynamic and colourful doodle.

In the doodle, athletes can be seen gliding down the snow with full gusto on their respective sporting gears. In a way, it also celebrates the courage and conviction of the differently-abled athletes to keep their flame of athletics going on.

It shows athletes participating from across all sporting events.

The athletics lineup includes alpine skiing, biathlon, cross-country skiing, ice hockey, snowboarding and wheelchair curling.

According to the Google Doodle blog post, the sports event will see the participation of over 670 athletes. It will also see maximum participation from women.

Over 80 medals would be awarded across all sports. The event will begin from 9 March and will end on 18 March. According to the Paralympics Games website, 50 nations are participating in the event.

Google has also posted few black and white rough sketches while composing the colourful doodle.

While Soohorang an Asiatic white tiger was the mascot of Winter Olympics 2018 held in PyeongChang in South Korea, Bandabian, the Asiatic black bear is the mascot of the Winter Paralympics 2018 in South Korea.
