BJP leader Biplab Kumar Deb will be sworn in as the Tripura’s Chief Minister today. Governor Tathagata Roy will administer the oath of office and secrecy to Mr. Deb and his council of ministers at a ceremony, to be held at Assam Rifles ground in Agartala.
Also, Jishnu Debburman will take oath as Deputy Chief Minister. The ceremony will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP National President Amit Shah, other union Ministers and chief ministers of several BJP ruled states and other senior BJP leaders. The function will start at 12 noon.
The first BJP led government in Tripura is going to be formed today. By next few hours, the new council of ministers of BJP and its ally IPFT is going to swear in ceremonially.
BJP state President Biplab Kumar Deb has been elected as the leader of the legislative party of the BJP-IPFT Alliance.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP national president Amit Shah, Union Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju, BJP National General Secretary Ram Madhav, and Chief Ministers of BJP ruled states will attend the ceremony.
Meanwhile, the security has been beefed up in the state in view of the visit of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
