Easing demand drags down refined soya oil futures by 0.64%

Press Trust of India  |  New Delhi

Refined prices shed 0.64 per cent to Rs 783.95 per 10 kg in futures trading today as speculators pared their positions, taking negative cues from the spot market on fall in demand. At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined for delivery in March month fell by Rs 5.05, or 0.64 per cent to Rs 783.95 per 10 kg with an open interest of 22,980 lots. Likewise, the for delivery in April contracts were trading lower by Rs 4.20, or 0.53 per cent to Rs 791.10 per 10 kg in 45,150 lots. Analysts said cutting down of positions by participants owing to slackened demand in the physical market against ample stocks position mainly led to decline in refined prices at futures trade.
