CHENNAI: Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board has warned the public that it would initiate action against consumers who don't pay the second half-year taxes and charges to the water agency before March 31.

In a statement, the board said it would disconnect water and sewer connections of defaulting consumers if the dues are not paid.

Consumers, including those in added areas, can pay their taxes and charges at Metrowater's head office in Chinthatharipet and at area and depot offices. Consumers can also pay their dues online on the agency's website www.chennaimetrowater.tn.nic.in.
