Man drives to court with stolen car

Connecticut -The Washington Post reported that a man who had been arrested for stealing car attended court proceedings on Wednesday (March 6) in a stolen car. 

Jonathan Rivera was charged for stealing and tampering with a vehicle in February, police said. 

The 25-year-old was caught out when parking authorities scanned the numberplate of a car in the parking lot that had been reported stolen. 

When Rivera left, the police arrested him after monitoring who was driving the car. Rivera was subsequently charged with second-degree larceny, according to the Associated Press.
