Bee attack in Secretariat triggers chaos
There was chaos at the State Secretariat premises here on Thursday after a swarm of honeybees attacked participants, mostly tribals, who had gathered for shooting of a promotional video with the Chief Minister in the lawns in front of the building.
All of a sudden, a large number of honeybees appeared n the scene from nowhere and started attacking the people, who had to run for cover. While some ran all over the lawns, a few lay on the ground while some others scampered inside the Secretariat building to save them from the bee attack.
Several Government officials, visitors, security personnel and mediapersons were also not spared by the bees.
However, sources said some of the injured were rushed to the Capital Hospital. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured.
Later, the Chief Minister had to enter the Secretariat through another entrance in the evening.
