
New Delhi: Bharti Airtel Ltd, the largest telecom firm in India, has planned to raise up to Rs3,000 crore through non-convertible debentures (NCDs).
A meeting of committee of directors is “scheduled on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 to inter-alia consider and subject to market and other conditions, issue listed, unsecured, rated, redeemable, non-convertible debentures (NCDs Series I and II) on private placement basis aggregating up to Rs 3,000 crore”, the company said in a BSE filing.
Besides this, Bharti Airtel’s board of directors will meet on 12 March to consider fundraising opportunity for the company.
As on 31 December 2017, the company’s consolidated net debt stood at Rs91,714 crore higher than Rs91,480 crore in the previous quarter.
On Friday, shares of Bharti Airtel rose 0.19%, or Rs0.75, to Rs 401.95 apiece on the BSE while the benchmark Sensex fell 0.13%, or 44.43 points, to end the day at 33,307.14 points.
