Aluminium futures edge up 0.11% on spot demand

prices edged up by 0.11 per cent to Rs 137.10 per kg in futures market today as speculators built up fresh positions, taking positive cues from the spot market on improved demand. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, for delivery in April month edged up by 15 paise, or 0.11 per cent to Rs 137.10 per kg in business turnover of 6 lots. Similarly, the for delivery in March contract was trading higher by 10 paise, or 0.07 per cent to Rs 136.45 per kg in 264 lots. Market analysts said fresh positions created by traders after uptick in demand in the physical market mainly led to the rise in prices at futures trade.
