Muskan Kirar bags Gold at Asia Cup

Muskan Kirar of Madhya Pradesh State Archery Academy exhibited a wonderful performance at Asia Cup Championship by bagging a Gold medal.

It is to be noted that she was representing team India at the Asia Cup. The Asia Cup championship was played at Bangkok, Thailand from March 2 to 8. Representing the Indian team, in the final match of the championship compound event, Muskan Kirar received 139 points and defeated Malaysia's player and won a Gold medal.

Apart from this, Assam's player Pramila Daimeri, who was part of the Indian team, bagged a Gold medal, Uttar Pradesh player Madhu Vedwan and Maharashtrian player Gaurav Lumbay in the recurve event won one bronze medal each for the country.

Earlier, in the first match in the championship, Muskan Kirar defeated Taipei (China) player by getting 142 points.

In the pre-quarterfinal match, Muskan Kirar scored a score of 145 points in Kazakhstan, 147 points in the quarter-finals, and 148 points in the semi-finals, defeating the Malaysian player.

In the above championship, Muskan Kirar, Divya Dhayal and Mrinal Hirawale are the first in the Indian team rankings. The team event will be played on Thursday, March 8.

The Chief Instructor and Technical Advisor of the Academy, Richpal Singh Salaria participated in this tournament as the coach of the Indian team.

It is notable that Muskan Kirar has won the gold medal in the 37th sub-junior national archery competition held in Bhubaneswar last year, enhancing the glory of the State. Muskan, who has represented the Indian team in the Asia Cup in Asia Cup held in Taipei, has recieved Archery Sports training from the state of Madhya Pradesh State Archery Academy Jabalpur in the year 2016-17.
