The Jessica Pearson saga we've been waiting for is finally happening.
USA announced on Thursday that it picking up the Suits spin-off centered on Jessica (Gina Torres) as as she embarks on her new law adventures in Chicago after leaving Pearson Spector Litt. Torres played Jessica on the USA legal drama for six seasons and made multiple cameos in Season 7.
The final episodes of Suits' seventh season will help set up Jessica's new venture in Chicago away from Harvey (Gabriel Macht) and New York, culminating in the season finale on April 25 which will officially introduce her new journey.
When Does Suits Premiere?
The spin-off has been in development for over a year with the pilot being ordered last August. Though Torres has been a regular face on television for over 30 years, this spin-off marks the first time she's fronting her own show. She also serves as an executive producer for the new series.
