Brandon Thomas Lee: Tommy Lee's Son Claims Rock Star Has Drinking Problem, 'Devastated' About Alleged Assault

Tommy Lee’s son Brandon Thomas Lee is speaking out on claims that he assaulted his father, saying the rock star’s alcoholism is to blame.

Police were called to Lee’s home in Calabasas, California, Monday night and Lee was transported to hospital. He claimed on Twitter Tuesday that Brandon, 21, entered his bedroom and knocked him unconscious.

Now, Brandon—whose mother is Baywatch star Pamela Anderson—is sharing his side of the story.

In a statement to People, Brandon said: “I’m devastated at the events of the last several days that have been a result of my father’s alcoholism. I’ve worked tirelessly organizing an intervention and it’s incredibly upsetting that it never came to fruition.

“I wanted my dad’s hopeful sobriety and recovery to be a private family matter but, as a result of his accusations on social media, I feel forced to speak out. I have and will continue to cooperate with law enforcement as needed. I love my father and just want to see him sober, happy and healthy.”

Lee, 55, tweeted Tuesday:

In response to Brandon’s statement, Lee tweeted Wednesday: “You didn’t arrange any intervention, you barely spoke to me while u were here. Just coverin ur ass!!”

On Wednesday, police told TMZ that an argument took place between father and son over a social media post.

Lee had tweeted disparaging comments about his ex-wife Anderson on Twitter Monday, in response to an interview she gave U.K. talk show host Piers Morgan.

He said:

In the interview, Anderson spoke about her troubled marriage with Lee, with whom she also has another son, Dylan, 20, including an allegation of abuse.

“I didn’t hit him [Lee] at all. I had [hold of] Dylan and he took Brandon and ran out the door with him ... I had to call 911 and then when he knew I did that, he smashed my head into the phone. It just got very ugly. I haven't thought about this in a long time but yeah, it was bad,” Anderson told Morgan.
