US Lifts Ban On Importing Elephant, Lion TrophiesThe Trump administration quietly lifted the ban on importing sport-hunted elephant and lion trophies from several African countries on Wednesday, even though President Donald Trump previously claimed that it would be "very hard-pressed to change his mind" on the "horror show" of the sport trophies last November, according to CBS News. Certain trophies will now be considered "on a case by case basis" in accordance with the Endangered Species Act (ESA) and the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES), according to a March 1 document that was released but not publicized by the Interior Department.
