Asus ROG Strix GL702ZC gaming laptop with AMD's Ryzen 7 1700 CPU unveiled in India for Rs 1,34,990

Asus has officially unveiled the Asus ROG Strix GL702ZC gaming laptop which is powered by AMD's eight-core Ryzen 7 1700 processor in India for a price of Rs 1,34,990. The laptop in question had been first launched for the global audience back in May last year.

The ROG Strix GL702ZC has a 17.3-inch full-HD IPS anti-glare display with Radeon FreeSync support. Inside the laptop, we can find 16GB of DDR4 RAM which can be expanded up to 32 GB, 256 GB of SSD and 1 TB of HDD storage. The laptop has an AMD Radeon RX580 GPU, with 4GB, GDDR5 VRAM.

The CPU as mentioned above is the octa-core Ryzen 7 1700 which can be clocked up to 3.7 GHz with 4 GB  GDDR5 VRAM. AMD's Ryzen 7 is made on the brand new Zen microarchitecture which is based on the 14 nm FinFET manufacturing process. It delivers up to 40 percent more instructions per clock as compared to the previous generations.

Additional features of the laptop include four display modes, which are the Normal mode, Vivid mode, Eye Care mode and the Manual mode. The keyboard of the laptop is backlit and Asus says that it comes with an anti-ghosting technology which helps the laptop correctly interpret the keys even if 30 keys are pressed together. Asus claims that the keyboard has an approximate lifetime of 10 million key presses.

The ROG Gaming Center works with the integrated applications such as ROG GameFirst IV, XSplit Gamecaster, and Asus Splendid visual technology.

Connectivity options for the laptop include Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1, 1 USB Type-C, 1 USB 3.0, HDMI 2.0 and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The laptop weighs  3.2 kg with the battery and has dimensions of 415 x 280 x 340 mm.
