Chef Inam loves to experiment not just with his looks but is constantly on the lookout to offer something new to the fans of his food. Mention steak, speak of barbeques and grilled meats and burgers and there is no second person who can do what he does with meats. For a long time many cribbed and complained about the non-stylish look of his restaurant at Road no 12, Banjara Hills. That however, didn’t stop anyone from going there and gorging on the food.
Apart from offering tasty meat platters, Inam is also very popular with those who love to top up their meal with protein and wholesome food. However, Inam listened to all the requests which his regulars had for a new place, so he started ‘Kingdom of barbeque’ — an eatery with three level of seating and serving Inam’s speciality food.

Inam takes credit for the over the top decor. He says he wanted to integrate all that he likes but he had a theme in mind. During the course of reading a book, he came to know the story of Genghis Khan and his influence on people. Apart from that, Inam being a gym rat loves the warrior within each of us. In order to recreate all those influences he used elements that will make diners draw comparison with movie sets.
This new place on the 7th floor of Silver Tower at Road no 10, Banjara Hills has natural light unlike his old restaurant. The 165-seater new eatery has three different levels of seating. A main hall with table and chair seating serves as the common dining area of the restaurant. There are two rooms designed on the private dining room concept and has the traditional Arabic floor seating. One of these PDRs are exclusively for women only and he named it ‘women warriors’.

While Inam’s menu remains the same as his first eatery, there a few additions that he has made for the rooftop eateries. Apart from the usual grills, KOB will have live bbq, sessions on weekends where Inam will demonstrate his stylish cooking skills. With a place and decor that will shock your eyes can there not be something equally shocking to eat. People make giant burgers, Inam has Burj Khalifa burger. This is a 12-inch tall burger that is built with five layers of bread and meat patties. This is not all. The platter which is a meal in itself for more than four people comes with assorted veggies, a salad, corn, breads, potato mash, tossed quionoa and a few pieces of kebab. It takes about five minutes to look and understand the burger that comes skewered from the top.
Eating this is a definite challenge but there is no prize other than the joy of a full stomach with yummilicious food. The patties can be made with chicken, lamb or fish. But nothing can beat the taste of beef patties which we relished.
