On receipt of reliable information, the CTF team conducted raid at railway station main entrance in the city and intercepted one car and apprehended two persons on Wednesday, on charge of illegally trying to transport ganja.
The accused have been identified as D. Veerabhadra Raju of S. Kota and B. Prabhakara Rao of Aruku mandal.
During enquiry it was revealed that, the accused procured ganja from Paderu and surrounding agency areas and were contemplating transporting it to Delihi from Visakhapatnam railway station by Delhi bound express train.
The CTF team also seized 28 kgs of ganja (14 packets each weighing 2 kgs) along with a car from their possession.
The apprehended persons along with seized property have been handed over to the SHO, Fourth Town police station for further investigation.
