A middle-aged headmaster of a primary school in Amethi and his wife were hacked to death inside their house in the wee hours of Wednesday. Senior officers, who rushed to the scene of crime, suspected the hands of the victim’s son behind the brutal killing.
As per reports, Hari Prasad Verma(50) of Jamorwa village of Mohanganj police station area in Amethi used to live with his wife Savitri (45). Verma was the headmaster in a primary school. Early on Wednesday morning, a neighbour found the door of Verma’s house ajar and suspecting foulplay, entered inside only to find the bodies of Verma and his wife lying in a pool of blood.
Both seem to have been hacked to death with sharp edged weapon sometime late on Tuesday night. An FIR was lodged in this regard and the bodies were sent for autopsy. After preliminary probe, the police said property dispute could be a reason behind the killings. The victims' son used to live alone at some distance and hence the cops also suspect his hand in the killing.
Meanwhile in Bharaich, a girl was brutally hacked to death in the wee hours of Wednesday. As per reports, Roli Yadav (16) of Bansherpurwa hamlet of Hyderabad Pana went to ease herself in a nearby field around Tuesday midnight. When she did not return home, her father Satram Yadav and other family members searched for her and also informed the Huzurpur police about the disappearance.
In the wee hours of Wednesday, Roli’s body was found lying in a pool of blood in the fields. Circumstantial evidences suggested that someone tried to rape her and when she resisted, she was hacked by the perpetrator. A case was registered and the body was sent for autopsy. Further investigations are on in this regard.
