Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech on International Women's Day on Thursday will be telecast live across all schools in Rajasthan, the Vasundhara Raje-government has decreed. The prime minister is expected to address an event via video conference on 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' programme in Rajasthan's Jhunjhunu district.
Rajasthan Patrika reported that students of Class VI to XI have been instructed to compulsorily attend the live screening of the programme, adding that school authorities across the state have been told to report the number of students who sat to watch the live telecast. According to PTI, the Jhunjhunu programme will take place between 1 to 2.30 pm.
According to DNA, Class XII students have been excluded due to the ongoing Secondary and Senior Secondary Board examinations in the state. The report added that schools in rural areas that lack electricity will have to arrange for radio sets.
