PM Narendra Modi holds meeting with collectors

JAISALMER: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday met five collectors of backward districts in the state, and directed them to raise public awareness and focus on development despite topographical challenges.

During the 15-minute interaction, the collectors spoke about the parameters that need to be improved – right from nutrition among children to power supply and construction of road networks.


Jaisalmer district collector K C Meena said the PM met every collector individually and enquired about the status of projects and innovative ideas initiated by them. The PM also pushed for developing infrastructure and raising education levels in the state. Collectors of Sirohi, Jaisalmer, Karauli, Dholpur, Baran and Haryana’s Mewat were present at the meeting.
