President Ram Nath Kovind said today that India looks forward to South Korea's participation in flagship projects like Make in India and as a "key partner" towards rapid industrialisation.
Kovind said this while meeting a Korean parliamentary delegation led by the Speaker of the National Assembly Chung Sye Kyun, who called on him at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The President said India sees South Korea as a key partner in its efforts towards rapid industrialisation.
"We look forward to South Koreas participation in our flagship projects such as Make in India, Clean India and Digital India," he said.
Kovind said both the countries share democratic values and a common economic vision.
"There is also a unique convergence of strategic interests," he told the delegation.
"We admire achievements of South Korea despite the difficult economic and political situation in its early days,"the President said as he lauded the determination with which both the country worked for development.
Kovind said he felt happy that South Korean investors were looking at India as an investment destination. The large participation of top Korean companies in the 2nd India-South Korea business summit, held last week in India, was a testimony to this, he said.
