AAI participates in World ATM Congress 2018

Airports Authority of India (AAI) is participating in World Air Traffic Management (ATM) Congress (WATMC) 2018 being held at IFEMA, Feria de Madrid, Spain from 6 to 8th March, 2018. Now entering its sixth year, World ATM Congress is the world’s largest international air traffic management exhibition and conference attracting thousands of delegates each year.  AAI is showcasing its achievements and initiatives, through a stall in the conference which was inaugurated by AK Dutta, Member (ANS), AAI in presence of other AAI delegates on Wednesday. While inaugurating the AAI stall, Dutta said that “Our participation in this mega event is primarily to showcase our achievements and initiatives as a major Air Navigation Service Provider(ANSP) in the Asia Pacific region.

PM INAUGURATES CIC HEADQUARTER

Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, on Wednesday dedicated the new headquarter of Central Information Commission (CIC), built by state-owned Navratna NBCC (INDIA) LIMITED, to the nation at an event held here. The dignitaries who attended the event were Jitendra Singh, Minister for Development of North Eastern Region; Radha Krishna Mathur, Chief Information Commissioner; and Dr Anoop Kumar Mittal, CMD, NBCC among others.

Paswan addresses the first meeting of  Food Commission Chairmen from States in Delhi

Ram Vilas Paswan, Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution said that Centre is working on the Portability of PDS entitlements and this will be progressively extended. Paswan stated this while addressing the first meeting of Food Commission Chairmen from States/UTs in New Delhi on Wednesday. He said that once Portability of PDS implemented beneficiaries will be free to receive their entitlements from any fair price shops without being bound to a particular shop. This is already underway in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Haryana, Gujarat and Delhi. Paswan said that 82 per cent ration cards have been linked to Aadhar from across the country and 2.95 lakh PoS machines have been installed at ration shops to streamline the rationing process and stop pilferages.

BHEL's Shram Award winners felicitated

Among a host of Public and Private Sector companies in the country, 42 employees of Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) have bagged the prestigious Prime Minister’s Shram Awards for their distinguished performance (2011 to 2016). The winners were felicitated by Atul Sobti, CMD, BHEL and Directors on the Board of BHEL, at a ceremony organized in New Delhi.

The Maple Assist App was launched by Minister Navdeep Bains, Canada's Minister for Innovation, Science and Economic Development. The new venture is also supported by Scotia Bank, Air Canada, HDFC Credila, and the Indo-Canadian Business Chamber (ICBC).  Maple Assist App, a ground breaking mobile application designed to be a one-stop shop for all you need to know about studying in Canada. Developed in India, the Maple Assist App is supported by four leading colleges from Ontario, Durham College, Fanshawe College,  Georgian College and St. Clair College. It is expected to reach out to over 100,000 international students desirous of studying in Canada, hailing from countries like India, China, Philippines, Japan, Brazil and Mexico.

BSNL WEbsites hacked by security researcher

Recently, there have been some reports about hacking of some of the BSNL websites by some security researcher mentioning leakage of some personal employee data. The affected subdomains were public sites that didn't contain customer specific data. BSNL, being one of the largest Telecom Operators in India, is fully geared up to prevent any data loss related to its employees, customers or stakeholders. “With latest technology and equipment, we are serving the communication need of the country to provide affordable services to our esteemed customers. Critical network elements like Mobile Networks, Broadband, Landline networks etc. are fully secured.
