The incident came to light on Thursday morning when some vendors came to Gramam Street to open their shops there.
"We are checking footages from CCTV cameras in the locality. We will nab the culprits once their identity is established," said a
police officer. The officer said some locals might be behind the act.
Police personnel were deployed in the area to prevent any untoward incident.
