WASHINGTON, March 8 (Reuters) - The U.S. State Department has approved a possible $197 million sale of equipment to upgrade the Qatar Emiri Air Force’s air operations center, the Pentagon said on Thursday.
A statement about the order for global positioning equipment and information distribution systems said the prime contractor will be Waltham, Massachusetts-based Raytheon. (Reporting by Mike Stone and Susan Heavey)
